Mrinmoy Guha Neogi
Mrinmoy Guha Neogi (born 1 January 1957) Is a Bangladeshi agricultural scientist. He was awarded the Independence Award in 2021 for his contribution to science and technology.[1][2][3]

Early life
Neogi was born on 1 January 1956 in Tangail, East Pakistan, Pakistan. He holds undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from Bangladesh Agricultural University, and a doctorate from Jahangirnagar University. He has a higher degree in International Development Research from the University of Oslo in Norway.
Career
Neogi is the Deputy Project Leader at the University of Western Australia. While working in Rangpur Dinajpur Rural Service, He played an important role in the production of short-term and early varieties of aman paddy through various researches and developments.
Neogi has worked on inventing and expanding the technology of planting an additional vehicle from the kushi that emerges from the roots of the tree after harvesting Boro paddy. At the local level, hybrid rice plays an important role in seed production. He succeeded in producing an additional crop on fallow land between Boro and Aman seasons by popularizing short-term aus paddy habitat.
