History
Members Too Short and E-40 have been releasing collaborative songs since the mid-1990s, with their debut collaborative albums History: Function Music and History: Mob Music being released in 2012. Creation of a supergroup was in discussion shortly thereafter, but never came into fruition until December 2020.
In a 2021 interview with DJ Vlad, Too Short stated that the group's debut album will be followed up with "volumes", similar in style to his release of The Pimp Tape (2018). The album would also reportedly feature a guest appearance from fellow West Coast rapper-producer Dr. Dre.
On April 3rd the Big 3 Facebook released a basketball themed song just over a minute long titled "Locked In" featuring verses from all 4 members to promote the 2021 Big 3 season.
On April 17, 2021, the group performed a new song titled "Big Subwoofer" at the Triller Fight Club event between Jake Paul and Ben Askren. The song was officially released on October 20, 2021 alongside its music video for Snoop Dogg's Def Jam debut compilation Snoop Dogg Presents Algorithm.
In a November 2021 interview, Snoop Dogg mentioned that Eminem will be featured on the album with a song titled "From Detroit to the LBC".[4]
