Mombasa Cement Limited

Mombasa Cement Limited (MCL) is an industrial company in Kenya specialising in the manufacture of construction materials. The company has operations in Nairobi, Athi River and Kilifi , it is headquartered in Mombasa. The company is a privately owned business.[1] Mombasa Cement Ltd is one of the largest manufacturer of cement in Eastern Africa, with the company controlling 20% of the market share in the Kenyan cement sector (2020).[2]

The company has supported philanthropic activities, including a feeding program that reaches over 40,000 people in the Mombasa region.[3] It has also set up schools and police stations, including the Sahajanand Special School, a school serving over 800 children having physical and mental disabilities. [4]

In 2017, the company partnered with Mombasa County to refurbish the Mombasa tusks monument.[5][6]
