Mohana (tribe)

The Mohana (Urdu: موہانہ), sometimes referred to as Mohanoمهاڻو, are a Sindhi mohana tribes called Mohano Mallah Mirbahar Mirani in the province of Sindh and Punjab also KPK DI khan Tank in Pakistan. Most Mohana families are living in South Punjab, in the cities of miyan wali Khanewal, Basti Mohana, Multanjhang laiyyah Muzaffargarh, Rajanpur and Rahim Yar Khan. They often refer to themselves as Mir Bahar (meaning 'Lord of the sea'). They are mostly Sunni Muslims and speak the Sindhi language.[1] In Khanewal City a Foundation Name Mohana Foundation is also working for betterment of Mohana Cast, the successful Kifalat Program organized by the Mohana Foundation Khanewal, which aims to equip the orphans of the Mohana community with education so that they can become the architects of the future and serve their nation Mohana, is very much appreciated today.
