Mohammad Maksudur Rahman
Mohammad Maksudur Rahman is a major general in the Bangladesh Army and incumbent Director General of Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies. Prior to join BIISS, he was posted at National Defence College as Senior Directing Staff (Army-1).[1] Before join NDC, he was Director General of Directorate General Defence Purchase (DGDP). He served as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 10 Infantry Division in Ramu of Cox's Bazar. He previously served as Deputy Force Commander of UNAMID in Sudan's Darfur. He was also Commandant of Bangladesh Institute of Peace Support Operation Training (BIPSOT). He was also the commander of President Guard Regiment (PGR). He also served as the Directing Staff of Defence Services Command & staff College (DSCSC).[2][3]

Career
Maksudur Rahman was commissioned in Bangladesh Army on December 20, 1985 in the infantry regiment. He was part of 13th BMA long course.[4][5] From 19 Nov, 2013 to 19 Nov, 2015 he served as 10th Commandant of BIPSOT. He also served as Commander President Guard Regiment (PGR).[6]He also served as Directing Staff of Defence services Command and Staff College, Mirpur. He also served as Deputy Force Commander of UNAMID in Darfur of Sudan. He is a graduate of Defence Services Command and Staff College, Mirpur. He has done VIP protection course in Malaysia. He served as an instructor at School of Infantry and Tactics (SI&T) in Jalalabad Catonment and Non- commissioned officer's Academy (NCOA) in Bogra Cantonment.
