Later on, a colony of black ants are raiding a grocery store to obtain a box of sugar, but are attacked by a group of red ants. Overwhelmed, the ant leading the group, Mandible, sends a distress call to his ladybug friend Cox. Cox receives the message and sets off, unknowingly followed by his son.
When Cox arrives, his son, along with a group of red ants, fall into boxes of chestnuts bound for different locations around the globe. The one with Cox's child in it is sent to Guadalupe Island. Hitching a ride on an airplane bound for the same location, Cox sets off in pursuit.
