Michael Powell (Louisiana politician)
Michael Powell is an American politician.[1][2] He served as a Republican member for the 6th district of the Louisiana House of Representatives.[3]

Powell attended at the Louisiana State University, where he earned his bachelor's degree based on geology.[4] In 1992, he attended at the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, where he earned his Juris Doctor degree.[4] In 2004, Powell won the election for the 6th district of the Louisiana House of Representatives.[3] He succeeded B. L. Shaw.[3] In 2007, Powell was succeeded by Thomas G. Carmody for the 6th district.[3] After being succeeded, he had an absorption into running for the Louisiana's 4th congressional district, but then was taken over by physician and military veteran John Fleming.[5]
Powell served as a lawyer in Shreveport, Louisiana.[4]
