Melitopol Raion

Melitopol Raion (Ukrainian: Мелітопольський район) is one of the 5 raions (districts) of Zaporizhzhia Oblast in southern Ukraine. The administrative center of the region is Melitopol. Population: 280,816 (2021 est.)[2].

On 18 July 2020, as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, the number of raions of Zaporizhzhia Oblast was reduced to five, and the area of Melitopol Raion was significantly expanded. [3][4] The January 2020 estimate of the raion population was 48,191 (2020 est.)[5]
