Manila Xiamen International School

Manila Xiamen International School (simplified Chinese: 厦门岷厦国际学校; traditional Chinese: 廈門岷廈國際學校; pinyin: xià mén mín shà guó jì xué xiào) or MXIS, is a private international school in Xiamen City. It is an independent, foreign-owned international school licensed by the IB organization, offering education from Pre-School to Grade 12.

History

MXIS was established in 1993 by its co-founders Engr. Roman T. Go and Dr. Mildred A. Go. It was the first international school in Xiamen. It is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School authorized to offer the IB Diploma Programme since 2006 and the IB Middle Years Programme since January 2021.

MXIS is situated in a nearly 10,000-square-meter property. There is ample space for a wide variety of activities like sports, performing arts, recreation and other enrichment activities.

Faculty

MXIS has a team of Chinese and foreign teachers with impeccable credentials. All the foreign teachers graduated from overseas universities and hold international teaching certification. The average teaching experience of foreign teachers in MXIS is more than 10 years. Chinese teachers with experience in international education receive regular professional development and training.
