Administrative Districts
At the 2010 Census the regency comprised eight districts (distrik), tabulated below with their areas and their populations at the 2010 Census[5] and according to official estimates for 2019.[6] The 2020 Census revealed a total population for the regency of 36,483, but no breakdown figures for the districts are yet published, although the 2019 Estimates have been shown to be very underestimated. The table also includes the location of the district administrative centres. A ninth district (Iwaso, with its district centre at Metaweja) has recently been created, but no figures for it are available in 2020.
