Willis was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the third round (86th overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft. Willis had a surprise fall in the draft as he was projected as high as 2nd overall to the Detroit Lions and as low as 20th to the Pittsburgh Steelers and was seen as the heavy consensus favorite to be the first quarterback selected in the draft.[9][10]
