Lovisa Berndtsson

Lovisa Berndtsson (born December 9, 1988) is a Swedish ice hockey player for the NWHL's Buffalo Beauts and the Swedish national team. She previously played for Djurgårdens IF Hockey in the Swedish Women's Hockey League.

Career

Berndtsson began her SDHL career with Segeltorps IF, with whom she would play one game in 2008–09. She would play with Södertälje SK in the Damettan the next year, followed by a year at AIK and then a year at SDE, before signing with Djurgården for the 2015–16 season.[1] In her second year with Djurgården, she would lead the team to the SDHL championship, finishing with the third beset GAA in the league and earning shutouts in each playoff round.[2][3][4] She was selected by the Buffalo Beauts in the 2021 NWHL International Draft on July 25, 2021.[5] She was signed by the Beauts to a professional contract the following day,[6] becoming the first player from the NWHL's International Draft to sign a contract in the league.

She participated at the 2017 IIHF Women's World Championship.[7]
