Lordegan County

Lordegan County (Persian: شهرستان لردگان) is a county in Chaharmahal-o-Bakhtiari Province in Iran. The capital of the county is Lordegan. At the 2016 census, the county's population was 209,681, in 54,825 families.[1] The county contains four districts: the Central District, Manj District, Falard District, and Khanmirza District. The county has three cities: Lordegan, Mal-e Khalifeh and Manj-e Nesa.

Demographics

Bakhtiari tribes are predominant inhabitants of Lordegan county. People mainly speak Lurish language by Bakhtiari dialect, which is a member of Southwestern Iranian languages.

Geography

The Milas Plain (Persian: دشت ميلاس, also Romanized as Mīlās)[2] is found in Lordegan County. Wheat, rice and barley are cultivated in the plain.
