Lois Auta
Lois Auta was born in Jos Plateau state on 29 April 1980. She hails from Kukum Gida Kagoro, Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Nigeria.[1] Lois Auta is the founder and chief executive officer of Cedar Seed Foundation. She has received awards for her role in promoting disabled sport globally in the U.S.[1] She was hosted among 30 Nigerians by President Mohammadu Buhari for technology innovation and creativity.[2]

In 2019, she contested the AMAC/Bwari's constituency seat at the National Assembly on the platform of the Accord Party. Now contesting for the seat of Member Kaduna State Assembly on the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC) to answer the clarion call to represent they Good people of Kaura Constituency with her EQUAL AGENDA [3] [4]
Early life and family
Lois Auta was born into they Auta Akok family of Kukum Gida Kagoro, Kaura local government area of Kaduna State.[1]
Education
Auta holds a diploma and a bachelor's degree in public administration from the University of Abuja Nigeria. A polio survivor, a bais breaker, she is a woman of many first, she is a graduate of Public Administration from the prestigious university of Abuja. Career
Auta is the founder and Executive Director of Cedar Seed Foundation, and a support staff member with Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).[5]
Advocacy
Auta has advocated for the betterment of persons with disabilities in Nigeria for over five years. Her positions and roles include:
- President of FCT Disabled Sports Club, Abuja
- Board Member of Federation of Civil Servants Staff with Disabilities Multipurpose Cooperative Society
- Assistant National Coordinator of Advocacy for Women with Disabilities Initiative
- Board Member of Potters Gallery Initiative
- Member of Joint National Association of Persons with disabilities
- Founder of Ability Africa
- President of Women on Wheels Multipurpose Cooperative Society
She has held meetings with world leaders including John Kerry, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, US Assistant Secretary of State on African Affairs. Ambassador Rice, US senators, the Nigerian president, Nigerian senators, ministers, and Chief Executive Officers of world recognized companies and organizations.[6][5]
Awards and recognition
She is a Mandela Washington Fellow, and Vice President of the Mandela Washington Fellowship Alumni Association, Nigeria. She is a proven advocate, mediation, representation and mentor. She is, among other awards recipient;
Award for Social Justice and Leadership through Disability Rights Advocacy from the European Union and British Council;
Award of recognition as contributor to women and girls with disabilities from the Ministry of Women Affairs through Her Excellency, Honourable Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline K. Tallen;
The Inclusive Champion Award from Abuja Association of the Deaf, Women’s wing and Ability Plus;
The Disability Voice Award 2020 from Rugged Steps Foundation for African Youth Development (RSFAYD) Africa on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities;
Award as Youth Ambassador & Beacon of hope by the Kaura Youth Coalition Kaura Local Government of Kaduna State;
Global Goodwill Champion (Wave Maker) for promoting disability rights globally in Davos, by HCL Technologies in Davos, Switzerland;
The Sir Ahmadu Bello Sardauna Platinum Leadership Award of Excellence as “Icon of Hope & Humanitarian Service by the Northern Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), at the National Christian Centre, Central Business District, Abuja;
Award of mentorship for women and girls with disabilities in the Mentorship Series at the Top Leadership Centre on Project Thinkable;
Named as a Global Goodwill Ambassador by Richard Dipilla of Linkedin;
The first physically challenged black woman from Africa to be named a Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum 2017;
Award of services to humanity by the US Embassy and Deaf Resource Centre in commemoration of 2017 International Day of Persons with Disabilities;
Listed among the Most Outstanding 100 People in Northern Nigeria in 2016 by Arewa’s 100 People of the Year;
Awardee of the Nigerian Dream Personality Honours of the Nigeria Rebirth Project 2016 by the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi (Ojaja II);
Award of Excellence as disabled Amazon by Tribes Magazine Southern Kaduna;
The Mandela Washington Fellowship certificate signed by former President Obama; Most Valuable Player (MVP), for promoting disabled sports to linking sports and communities in Arizona, USA; and
Best Female player at the National Wheelchair Tennis Federation competition, Abuja, Nigeria 2013 amongst others [5]
