Lodhi Fort (Purana Qila)

Lodhi Fort (Purana Qila, Lodhi fort Ludhiana) is an ancient monument at Ludhiana, Punjab, India. It is a more than 500 years old fort constructed on the Sutlej banks by Muslim ruler Sikandar Lodi. The fort also has a tunnel to the neighboring town of Phillaur. Mostly the structure is turned into ruins. The fort was later declared a state-protected monument in December 2013.[1][2][3][4][5]

The Government Institute of Textile Chemistry and Knitting Technology was initially based in the fort campus which is now shifted to the new address at Z - Block, Rishi Nagar, Ludhiana.[6][7]
