Many traditional places were renamed in Pakistan before and after the independence of the country.

- Lawrence Garden → Bagh-e-Jinnah[1]
- Montgomery Hall → Quaid-e-Azam Library[1]
- Branthon Road → Nistar Road[1]
- Queen's Road → Fatima Jinnah Road[1]
- Jail Road → Allama Iqbal Road[1]
- Davis Road → Sir Aga Khan Road[1]
- Jain Mandir Road → Babri Masjid Chowk[1]
- Munto Park → Iqbal Park[1]
- Race Course Park → Jeelani Park[1]
Renamed cities
- Sagala → Sialkot (unknown when the city's name was changed)
- Nerunkot → Hyderabad (changed – 1768)
- Lyallpur → Faisalabad (changed – 1977)
