The L'albo d'Oro was a Player of the Year award presented by the Italian magazine Guérin Sportivo. It was first awarded in 1979 and was discontinued in 1986 for unknown reasons. The winner was chosen by reporters, readers and writers for Guérin Sportivo from many countries and continets.[1] Guérin Sportivo also chose an All-Star Team from 1980 until 1986.
