Kuttavum Shikshayum (2021 film)

Kuttavum Shikshayum (lit. 'Crime and punishment') is an upcoming Indian Malayalam language action thriller film directed by Rajeev Ravi, starring Asif Ali in the lead role. The film revolves around a mysterious robbery in Kerala.[1][2] It is produced by Arun Kumar V. R. under the banner of Film Roll Productions in association with Collective Studios. The story is written by Sibi Thomas and Sreejith Divakaran.

Premise

The film is based on a jewellery robbery that occurred in Kasargod in 2015. The case took a 5-member team from the Kerala Police force to a dreaded village in Uttar Pradesh where they risked their lives to nab the culprits.[3]

Production and release

The principal production of the film was started in February 2020 and was anticipated to release around September 2020, but the release was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[4][5][6]
