Kumawat

Kumawat is a caste clan of India.[1]

"Kumawat" a surname, which is the glory of many fighters, considered as 'kshtiryas' and later turned into the caste, as the rulers made them distinguished, but unforgettable names bring more stories.

It is a caste very well founded into Rajasthan state of India, which is 4-5% of the total population of the state, usually in the caste system, they are considered as OBC (other backward caste) but the history of this caste has turned it's meaning and importance, where they were engaged into wars as not all were doing the job of pot makers as the myth, it was stated into the research of archeology.

In prior time, kumawat's were used to known as 'kumhars'but with the time, they turned into agriculture and then into wars so it is yet conflicted that they are still considered as OBC, where they should be treated as general caste.

Even though, they are not amongst Rajputs, but considered as 'Kshtriya' as they had done many things towards this consideration.
