Koněšín lies approximately 12 kilometres (7 mi) east of Třebíč, 40 kilometres (25 mi) south-east of Jihlava, and 153 kilometres (95 mi) south-east of Prague.

History

The first written mention of Koněšín is from 1104, when a marketplace was located here. Until 1557, it was property of the monastery in Třebíč. After 1557, it was a part of Náměšť nad Oslavou manor.[2]
