Kim Sung-bum (actor)

Kim Sung-bum (Korean: 김성범; born July 29, 1978) is a South Korean actor. He began his career on the stage, and in 2007 made his television debut with in MBC drama Chosun Cop Season 1 or also known as Byul Soon Geom. He has since starred in numerous television dramas, with the most recent one were Sell Your Haunted House (2021) and Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (2021).

Not to be confused with Kim Sung-bum South Korean judoka.

Career

He's graduated from of Department of Theatre of Seoul Institute of the Arts. Worked as actor ever since, with numerous supporting roles in television and film.[1][2] After he made his television debut with in MBC drama Chosun Cop Season 1 (2007), in 2008 he worked as actor in different fields, from stage play The Crucible (2008), stage musical Pippin (2008) and movie Story of Wine (2008), also joined two television projects.[3]

He frequently appears as a supporting actor in director Yoo Je-won's drama, from Oh My Ghost (South Korean TV series) (2015) to Abyss (TV series) (2019)[4] and Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (2021). Since He met Park Bo-young in movie Hot Young Bloods (2014), he joined in almost all her projects, three tvN dramas includes Oh My Ghost (South Korean TV series) (2015), Strong Girl Bong-soon(2017) and Abyss (TV series) (2019), also her latest film On Your Wedding Day (2018).

Kim also active as traditional Korean mask dancer Goseong Ogwangdae.[5]
