Karachi International Book Fair

The Karachi International Book Fair is an annual book fair held in Karachi, Pakistan. It is the largest book fair in the country, preceding the Lahore International Book Fair. It provides a platform where publishers, booksellers, agents, cultural organisations and press can meet, exchange ideas and identify business opportunities. It has been organised by the Pakistan Publishers and Booksellers Association.

It is held annually in November at the Karachi Expo Centre grounds in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan.

The Karachi International Book Fair forms a part of Pakistan Publishers and Booksellers Association strategy to transform Karachi into a major centre in the publishing world.

The Karachi International Book Fair brings together the Asia and International publishing communities. The fair provides access to publishers in the Asia, and is an important event in the negotiation and sale of book rights and licensing.

2010 Fair

The 6th Karachi International Book Fair started at Friday December 24, 2010 at 09:00AM PST to Tuesday December 28, 2010 at 07:00PM PST at Karachi Expo Centre (Hall # 1, 2 & 3)[1]

2011 Fair

The 7th Karachi International Book Fair was held Karachi Expo Center (Hall # 1,2 & 3), from Friday, December 16, 2011 to Tuesday, December 20, 2011.[2]

2012 Fair

The 8th Karachi International Book Fair was held from 7TH to 10TH DEC 2012.

2014 Fair

The 2014 fair was the 10th Karachi International Book Fair from 12–16 November at the Karachi Expo Centre. There were 400 visitors.

2015 Fair

The 11th Karachi International Book Fair was held in the Karachi Expo Centre from 12 to 16 November 2015.

2016 Fair

The 12th Karachi International Book Fair commenced on Thursday in the Expo Centre from December 15–19.[3]

2017 Fair

The 13th Karachi International Book Fair held from Dec 7th to 11th 2017, at the Karachi Expo Center.

2018 Fair

The 14th Karachi International Book Fair was held From 21 – 25 December 2018 at Karachi Expo Centre, Karachi, Pakistan.

2019 Fair

The 15th Karachi International Book Fair from 5 to 9 December 2019 at Karachi Expo Centre, Karachi, Pakistan.

2021 Fair

The 16th Karachi International Book Fair commenced in the Expo Centre from December 30, 2021 to January 3, 2022.[4]
