The song was re-recorded in 2007 after signing with Virgin Records and released in July 2007 as the lead single from the band's debut studio album, Yes Yes Vindictive. The song peaked at number 12 on the ARIA charts.

At the ARIA Music Awards of 2007, the song was nominated for three awards, winning ARIA Award for Breakthrough Artist - Single.[1]

The song appeared on the soundtrack of the 2007 film The Babysitters, and in the 16th episode of season 4 of the television series CSI: NY (2008).
