Career

Mondal was born in Normanby, North Yorkshire.[3] He played youth football for Middlesbrough, winning a domestic treble with the under-21 team during the 2014–15 season.[4] He was released by the club in June 2017 following a series of injuries.[4] He signed for Spennymoor Town, before moving to Whitby Town on joint-registration forms in November 2017. He signed for Whitby on a permanent basis in the summer of 2018.[5]

He signed a contract with Forest Green Rovers in December 2018, with the transfer going through in January 2019.[5][6] He made his debut on 19 January 2019, coming on as an 87th-minute substitute in a League game against Bury.[7][8]

He left Forest Green Rovers at the end of the 2019–20 season following the expiry of his contract.[9] He signed for AFC Fylde in September 2020.[10]

He moved to Darlington in May 2021,[11] and was one of six debutants in the starting eleven for their first match of the season, a 3–2 defeat at home to Alfreton Town.[12]

On 11 January 2022, Mondal joined Northern Premier League Division One East side Marske United on a two-month loan deal.[13] However, Mondal was recalled by Darlington on 8 February 2022.[14]
