Education and roles

Master of Arts in Computer Science, Humboldt-Universität Berlin, 2000. Doctor of Philosophy, Osnabrück University, Germany, 2006.[2][3] Bach's Ph.D. was in cognitive science.[4][5]

Roles

Bach has taught computer science, AI, and cognitive science at the Humboldt-University of Berlin and the Institute for Cognitive Science at Osnabrück. He worked as a visiting researcher at the MIT Media Lab and the Harvard Program for Evolutionary Dynamics.[6] He then joined AI Foundation, working as VP of Research.[7] He is currently a Principal AI Engineer at Intel Labs.[8]

Achievements

Achievements include research in novel data compression algorithm using concurrent entropy models; development of microPsi[9] cognitive architecture for modeling emotion, motivation, mental representation.[10]

Other

Bach has written a book on cognitive science called Principles of Synthetic Intelligence.[11][12] Between 2013 and 2017, Bach was directly or indirectly attributed research funding by Jeffrey Epstein charitable funds, according to fact-finding reports from Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.[13][14] Bach declined to comment.[13][14][15]
