John Cyril Malloy

John Cyril Malloy (June 1930 – March 2, 2014) was an American politician.[2][3][4] He served as a Republican member for the 113th district of the Florida House of Representatives.[5]

Born in Jackson, Tennessee.[1] Malloy moved to Chicago, Illinois for which he attended at the Northwestern University in 1957, earning his academic law degree.[1] He then moved to Miami, Florida in 1959, serving as an attorney for which Malloy had owned a law firm.[1] He served as the president for the voluntary professional organization Federal Bar Association on the chapter South Florida.[1] Malloy was also a professor at the University of Miami School of Law.[1]

In 1972, Malloy won the election for the 113th district of the Florida House of Representatives.[5] He succeeded politician, James Lorenzo Walker.[5] In 1974, Malloy was succeeded by Nancy Harrington for the 113th district.[5] He became a Democratic member in 1977.[6]

Malloy died in March 2014 in Coral Gables, Florida, at the age of 83.[1]
