Early life
Jane Florence Benitez de Leon was born on November 22, 1998, in Quezon City, Philippines.[1]
Career
In 2017, De Leon auditioned for the global pop group Now United along with Bailey May, AC Bonifacio and Ylona Garcia in Los Angeles. However, she would not make the final cut.[2]
On July 17, 2019, De Leon was announced as the new actress who will play in the proposed Darna film project of Star Cinema. Previously, Angel Locsin and Liza Soberano were respectively cast for the title role but had to leave due to injuries they had respectively acquired while preparing for the role.[3] However in August 2020, it was announced that the film project would be postponed indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic and a Darna TV series, also starring De Leon, would be developed in its place.[4][5]
In 2021, De Leon joined the cast of FPJ's Ang Probinsyano.[6] After her exit to the show, she started preparing for her role as Darna which is set to roll in November.[7] This confirmation comes after ABS-CBN revealed that Chito Roño will be directing the upcoming series.[8]
