Jai Hind (1994 film)
Jai Hind (transl. Victory to India!) is a 1994 Tamil language war action film written and directed by Arjun. The film stars him and Ranjitha. The film had musical score by Vidyasagar and was released on 20 May 1994 and was a hit at the box office.[1][2][3] Goundamani and Senthil's comedy are most notable for this movie. Its popularity prompted the comedy track to be adapted later in the 1995 Hindi film Jallad. A sequel titled Jai Hind 2 was released in 2014.

Plot
Bharath (Arjun), a police officer, is in love with Priya (Ranjitha), a policewoman. A terrorist group attacks the state of Tamil Nadu and kills the current Chief Minister (Kalyan Kumar) and Sriram, Bharath's brother (Devan). Bharath decides to go with some prisoners and his lover in the island where the terrorist group is hidden. This is a secret and dangerous mission. Whether he will be able to prevent their attacks or become a victim himself forms the crux of the story.

K. Vijiyin of New Straits Times wrote, "The strong family theme helps prop up all the action scenes and makes it different from just another Rambo-style movie."[5]
