Biography

Cornejo was born in Riverside, California. He began composing music when he was thirteen years old after teaching himself how to play guitar by watching YouTube videos.[1] He first learned how to play “La Bamba” by Ritchie Valens. His first single “Está Dañada” went viral on TikTok, eventually becoming only the second regional Mexican song to chart on the Billboard Hot 100.[1]

Musical career

2021–present: Alma Vacía

In summer 2021, Cornejo released his seven-track debut album Alma Vacía, which included his hit "Está Dañada," an "indie sierreño" song that went viral on TikTok. In December of 2021, Cornejo released an official remix of the single with Puerto Rican artist Jhay Cortez.[2]
