Islomxoʻja

Islomxoʻja (rus. Ислам-ходжа ) is an Uzbek feature film drama directed and written by Jahongir Akhmedov.[1] The Film Agency of Uzbekistan acted as the general producer, first joint film with Moscow.[2] Starring Ulugʻbek Qodirov, Alisher Uzoqov, Asal Shodiyeva, Matyoqub Matchonov, Husan Jumayev, Hoshim Arslonov and Azamat Axrorov

Plot

In the film, which tells the story of the life and work of Khiva Khanate Prime Minister Islomxoʻja, a researcher-historian who set out to study the details of his mysterious death tries to uncover the real culprits based on available documents, despite the fact that a century has passed.[3][4]

Creation

In September 2017, before the start of work on the film " Islomxoʻja " in Tashkent, a scientific-practical conference on " Islomxoʻja : life and artistic body in films" was held in the Uzbek film, in which the ideological interpretation and scenario were discussed.[5][6]

Filming of the film was entrusted to the film company Ezgu Flim. Popular Uzbek and Russian actors starred in the film.

The atmosphere of the era of that time was revived at the film site "Ezgu film". In cooperation with a creative team from Russia, the scenery of the city and the battlefield were built on 5 hectares of land. 1,500 workers worked on the two-story palace of the Khorezmshah, 5.5 meters high, which occupied an area of 3,500 square meters.[7]
