Composition and lyrics
On "In a Minute", Baby discusses his rise to fame in the music industry and introspectively tells a rags-to-riches story over a piano instrumental.[1] He boasts about buying a house just to store his money in and sharing the same stage with American singer and songwriter Billie Eilish for a performance, referencing himself as "the golden child".[2] The song has been described by Tom Breihan of Stereogum as a "relatively downbeat and introspective" song that sees Baby "working in his comfort zone, sounding confident but downbeat at the same time and putting a ton of melody in his raps".[3]
Music video
The official music video for "In a Minute", directed by Baby himself, premiered alongside the release of the song and "Right On" on April 8, 2022.[4] It sees Baby touring around the world on private jets while meeting his fans and spending time with his friends, surrounded by stacks of money, expensive clothing, luxury vehicles, and plenty of women. Kat Bouza of Rolling Stone felt that "this intimate look into [Baby]'s life complements the song's more reflective, honest nature".[5]
