Idhu Solla Marandha Kadhai (transl.A Forgotten story to tell) is an Indian-Tamil-language Family drama television series, that airs on Colors Tamil[1] and digital platform Voot, which premiered on 7 March 2022.[2] It starred Rachitha Mahalakshmi and Vishnu.[3][4] It is the remake of Colors TV's Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha.

Plot

The story revolves around Sadhana (Rachitha Mahalakshmi), a young widow with two children, fights for justice to her late husband. She fights for her and her husband, who dies in a hospital building collapse, which he is blamed for taking money and using cheap quality material for construction. Arjun (Vishnu), an honest journalist who is investigating the case, Soon, Sadhana and Arjun meet and hate each other due to some misunderstandings. Arjun befriends with Sadhana's daughter, Akshara and the two share a bond.

They help each other in every moment. Slowly Sadhana and Arjun fall in love with each other and Will Sadhana manage to provide for her children while trying to prove her late husband's innocence? Will she end up getting another chance to start her life afresh?

Production

Casting

Actress Rachitha Mahalakshmi[5][6] was selected to play the character Sadhana which Aakanksha Singh played in the Original . Vishnu was selected to play Arjun's character in February 2022.[7][8]

While Sridevi Ashok, Gowthami, Vincent Roy, Ravi Chandran, Rajkumar Manoharan, Sarath, Preetha Reddy and Deepa Shankar were also selected for supporting roles. Rachitha Mahalakshmi[9] and Deepa Shankar previously starred together in Saravanan Meenatchi (season 3) (2016-2018).

Release

The first promo was unveiled on 7 February 2022, featuring protagonist Rachitha Mahalakshmi motion poster with and revealing the release date. The second promo was unveiled on 12 February 2022 and The third promo was unveiled on 25 February 2022, featuring the protagonists Rachitha Mahalakshmi and Vishnu with Satvik, Arshita, Gowthami and Vincent Roy. The first episode aired on 7 March 2022 on Monday to Saturday at 21:00[10] and replacing Idhayathai Thirudathe.

Airing history

The show started airing on Colors Tamil and world digitally streams on Voot on 7 March 2022. It airs on Monday through Saturday 21:00 (IST). It was replaced by Idhayathai Thirudathe in its time slot.
