Curriculum
The school uses a college preparatory curriculum. All students are required to take classes in the core areas of English, basic sciences, mathematics, a foreign language, and social sciences. In addition to the core curriculum, the school provides choir, orchestra, outdoor skills training and adventures (biking, backpacking, kayaking, climbing, skiing, etc.), and several study tours a year. There is a strong college/career preparatory component to the high school program that includes yearly two week career shadowing internships for each high school student from 9th through 12th grade.
Spiritual aspects
All students take religion classes each year that they are enrolled. These classes cover topics in biblical and Christian history, character development and Biblical doctrines. Instructors in other disciplines also begin each class period with prayer or a short devotional thought. Every week the student body gathers together in the auditorium for an hour-long chapel service that may include guest speakers, character development themes, school spirit activities, along with a presentation on a spiritual topic.
