Harry Skelton

Harry Skelton (born 1990) is a British jockey who competes in National Hunt racing. He is the son of British gold medal winning Olympian Nick Skelton and brother of horse trainer Dan Skelton. In 2020, Skelton won the Queen Mother Champion Chase at the Cheltenham Festival and, in the 2020–2021 season, he was British jump racing Champion Jockey.

Career

In 2009 he became the youngest winner of the Irish Grand National on Niche Market[1] and in 2020 won the Queen Mother Champion Chase at the Cheltenham Festival.[2]

Skelton was crowned British champion jump Jockey for the first time on Saturday 24 April 2021. Skelton, riding almost solely for trainer brother Dan, secured his 150th win of the season on Wednesday 21 April.[3]

Personal life

Skelton married fellow rider Bridget Andrews in 2019.[4]
