Golden Grove Park & Ride

On the 10th of November 2020, a total of $33 million was funded by the South Australian state government to provide for a new Adelaide Metro Park & Ride facility in Golden Grove. The facility provides for bus stop 62A The Grove Way, a connecting stop to and from the Adelaide O'Bahn bus corridor. The project has been completed as part of the PTP Allowance and the Department for Infrastructure and Transport. The Park 'n' Ride was set to account for the large patronage the area sees of bus commuters toward the Adelaide CBD and surrounding suburbs.[1] The project reached saw new Adelaide Metro signage erected and the final phases of completion throughout February and March 2022.[2] It was officially opened on Monday the 7th of March 2022.

The three-storey car park is positioned adjacent to the bus stops it services, with car park entrances off The Grove Way and side streets. Both East and West side stops have new style electronic 'next bus' totem signs, with bus shelters and pull-over zones to allow for safer pick-up and set-down. The surrounding area furthermore contains signage to direct car drivers to critical transport areas. The car parking facility also provides for a bike storage facility accessed by metroCARD to allow for better bicycle security.
