Ganga Rathore of Marwar
Rao Ganga Rathore (18 April 1483 – 9 May 1531) was a sixteenth century ruler of Marwar. He was the grandson of Suja.

Life
Rao Ganga was married to Sankhli GangaDe, Utmade Sisodia, a daughter of Rana Sanga and Rani PadmaDe, daughter of Rao Jagmal of Sirohi.[1] Rao Ganga constructed the Gangelao talab in 1518 AD [2] and Ganga Baori. Rao Ganga's wife PadmaDe built Padamsar Talab in Jodhpur. Rao Ganga built temple of GangShyamJi, which was brought from Sirohi.
Rao Ganga assisted Rana Sanga against Muzaffar Shah of Gujarat. They removed Muslims from Idar and installed Rao Rayamal in Idar. Rao Ganga had joined with 7000 strong force.[3]Rao Ganga's son, Maldeo played a significant role in Battle of Bayana and later in Battle of Khanwa, against Babur.[4][5]
Death
Rao Ganga fell from his balcony and died in 1531. He was succeeded by his son Maldeo Rathore.
