Field hockey at the 2005 Maccabiah Games
Field hockey was first included in the 1997 Maccabi Games.[1] Since then it has been a part of all Israel games and Pan Am Games. Field hockey has never been part of the Europe Games.
The 2005 team, like the previous teams, won the bronze medal.[2] Teammates Ariel Eber, Haley Rosengarten, Jillian Carroll, Cara Singer, as well as a few others helped to win the medal. The team beat South Africa to make it to the bronze medal match against Australia. They were able to beat Australia.
In 2006, the team traveled to the inaugural Australian Games in Sydney.[3] Again, they took home the bronze medal. The following winter the team traveled to Buenos Aires, Argentina for the Pan Am Games.[4] This event was held as a 7v7 style tournament. The team was made up of; Lauren Hill, Ariel Eber, Jillian Carroll, Amanda Saber, Jenny Saber, Cara Singer, Erica Gelb, Rachel Magerman, Ali Fox, Alyssa Sands and was coached by Mim Chappell-Eber, a former Maccabi Player [1997, 1999, 2001, 2006] and coach [2001, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009].
