Faiz Hameed

Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed HI(M) is a three-star ranking general in the Pakistani Army. He is currently serving as Commander of the XI Corps. Previously, he was commissioned in the Baloch Regiment and served as the 24th Director-General of the ISI.[1][2]

From April to June 2019, he was Adjutant General GHQ in Rawalpindi. From June 2019 to November 2021 he served as the Director General of the ISI[3] and currently is serving as the Commander of the XI Corps since 20 November 2021.[4]

Personal life

Faiz was born in a middle-class Punjabi family where his hometown is the village of Latifal in the Chakwal District, Punjab, Pakistan. He has also remained GOC of the 16 Infantry Division at Pano Akil Cantonment. [5]
