Eternal Love of Dream

When she was little, Bei Fengjiu once got lost in Monster realm, where she was attacked by a savage beast and rescued by Donghua. Feeling grateful and indebted, Fengjiu is determined to repay this life debt. With the help of Siming, she enters Taichen Palace, where Donghua lives, as a fairy maid. To save him from the Ten-Lotus ward, she exchanges her nine-tailed fox fur for some of Nie Chuyin's magic, thus turns into an ordinary one-tailed fox, which he then brings back to his palace and raises as a pet. Eventually, her gratitude to him changes into love. Wounded physically by Jiheng's pet – a lion, and mentally by Donghua's decision to marry Jiheng, Fengjiu leaves Taichen palace, and returns to Qingqiu. On being told by Chong Lin that the fox is missing, Donghua searches for her but fails to find her.

Fengjiu repays her life debt to Donghua by helping him in his mortal trial. She is quickly indebted again, this time to the mortal Qingti who died to save her. She returns from the mortal realm with a promise to revive him.

Donghua and Fengjiu encounter each other several times both in Qingqiu and in heaven; Donghua quickly takes interest in her. In an attempt to avoid Donghua, Fengjiu turns herself into a handkerchief, which is then taken by Donghua and claimed as his own. In Donghua's battle against Yan Chiwu, a cyclone sweeps both him and Fengjiu into Fanyin Valley.

6 months later, Donghua comes to the valley. Fengjiu registers for a competition, whose prize is a pimpon fruit to revive Qingti. Donghua trains Fengjiu to prepare for the competition. Upon winning, Fengjiu is soon disappointed to find out that the prize has been switched to peaches and heart broken at Jiheng's explanation that Donghua gave her the pimpon fruit at her insistence. Determined to get the fruit at all cost, Fengjiu comes to the snake's maze and thus enters Aranya's dream. She is eventually saved again by Donghua; and they both realize their feelings for each other. After coming back, Fengjiu treats the injured Qingti with the fruit.

On their wedding day, Donghua does not show up because Jiheng emotionally blackmails him und compels him to stay single forever. He furiously transfers the poison from her body to his own and prohibits her from ever leaving the Monster realm. A brokenhearted Fengjiu leaves and starts her new life in mortal realm with her son Bai Gungun. At their last meeting before Donghua's final battle with Miaolua, he gives her a ring made from half of his heart, which she refuses. She then accidentally receives news that Donghua is about to die in a battle, which prompts her to join the battle and help Donghua. Despite their success, Fengjiu ends up being injured. While treating Fengjiu, Donghua meets his son Gungun. Fengjiu wakes up; they both apologize for their mistakes and Donghua announces Ye Qingti as his successor.

On January 24, 2018, it was announced Vengo Gao and Dilraba Dilmurat would be reprising their roles as Dong Hua and Bai Fengjiu from Eternal Love, respectively.[9] Eternal Love of Dream is Vengo Gao and Dilraba Dilmurat's seventh collaboration, after Swords of Legends, V Love, Legend of Ban Shu, The Ladder of Love, Eternal Love, and Mr. Pride vs Miss Prejudice.

The series began filming on June 10, 2018 at Hengdian World Studios, and wrapped 162 days later on November 19, 2018.[10][11]

Eternal Love of Dream surpassed more than 190 million views on its first day of release, and over 1 billion views in just one week on Chinese Tencent Video platforms.[12][13] As of April 2021, the series has exceeded 8 billion views on the online platform.[14] The series also gained a firm footing internationally, scoring a first in the online view rankings for Thailand, and exceeding a million clicks for its first few episodes in Vietnam.[15] The series has a 6.7 and 7.9 rating on Douban and China Tencent Video, respectively.[16]

Eternal Love of Dream won "Best Web Series of the Year"[17] at the 2020 Tencent Video All Star Awards, while Vengo Gao won "Quality Series Actor of the Year"[18] and Dilraba Dilmurat won "Most Popular Series Actor of the Year".[19] For his role as Dong Hua, Vengo Gao also won "Best Actor in a Period Drama" at the 29th Huading Awards.[20]
