Ernest Gordon Cox
Sir Ernest Gordon Cox FRS (1906 – 1996) was a British crystallographer and structural chemist.[1] He's the father of the British geologist Keith Gordon Cox.[2]
Cox studied at University of Bristol under William Henry Bragg and later at University of Birmingham with Norman Haworth. He started his independent career at University of Leeds in 1945. He was elected FRS in 1954 and knighted in 1964.
