Dustin Halse
Dustin Raffaele Halse[1] (born 3 May 1985) is an Australian politician. He has been a Labor Party member of the Victorian Legislative Assembly since November 2018, representing the seat of Ringwood. He lives in the electorate with his wife Rachel.

On 24 November 2021, Halse announced that he would not be recontesting his seat in the 2022 Victorian state election.[2]
Background and early career
Halse was born in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne on 3 May 1985, and was educated at Monash University, from which he graduated with a degree in politics and history. He was granted a PhD in political history from Swinburne University of Technology. Before entering politics, he worked as a retail assistant, school care program coordinator, sports coach, trade union official, and university lecturer and fellow in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne.[3]
Controversy
In June 2021, Liberal MP James Newbury revealed that Halse was the Labor MP under investigation for having sex in his parliamentary office. Acting Premier James Merlino called his behaviour "completely inappropriate" and fell short of community expectations.[4]
