Dulhan (1975 film)
Dulhan (transl. Bride) is a 1974 Indian Hindi-language drama film, produced by B. Anand Valli under the Sujatha International banner and directed by C. V. Rajendran. It stars Jeetendra, Hema Malini, Jamuna and music composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. The film is a remake of 1972 Kannada movie Yaava Janmada Maitri [1] which was earlier remade in Telugu as Sarada (1973) and in Tamil as Radha (1973).[2][3]

Plot
The sudden death of her groom Ashok on her wedding night traumatises Radha and she refuses to believe that her to-be husband has died and she awaits his return. Later one day, a look-alike of her husband named Vijay and he enters her life. But Vijay is already married and also has a young daughter. Later, Vijay learns of Radha's tragedy and pities her. Also, he spends time with her so that she can regain her mental balance. Meanwhile, Radha believes that her husband has returned and now she can live happily with him. Vijay agrees to impose as her husband for her treatment. Soon, Radha is taken to his home where he lives with his wife and daughter. They both try to cure her. Towards the climax, Vijay's mother-in-law returns home and talks to Vijay's wife that how Radha would steal her husband. Radha overhears this and realises that Vijay is not her husband. She thanks the family for their support and leaves with her brother to her village. Heartbroken, she dies.
