Dromore (crater)

Dromore is a crater on Mars. It measures 14.8 kilometers in diameter and was named after a town in Northern Ireland.[1]

Great amounts of water were required to carry out the erosion shown in this Viking image. The erosion shaped the ejecta around Dromore.

Dromore is famous for showing clear evidence that it was affected by floods of water which broke through dams, carved deep valleys, and eroded grooves into bedrock.
