Dheeraj Sharma (professor)

Dheeraj Sharma is a professor of management. He has been director of the Indian Institute of Management Rohtak since 2017,[1][2][3][4] and he is also a full professor on leave from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad.[5] He has published more than 150 research papers.

Professor Sharma has advised the prisons department of Punjab , state of Gujarat and state of Delhi on marketing of goods made by prisoners and modernisation of jails,[6][7] and has advised the Border Security Force and Central Reserve Police Force on stress avoidance, perception management, and effectiveness [8] Prof Sharma is an expert in matter pertaining to perception management, international relations, and national security issues.

Prof Sharma is the recipient of the Education Leadership Award for his work as Director, IIM, Rohtak in 2019.[9]

Dr Sharma is member of economic advisory council of Haryana [10] and member of task force for prospective and planning under the aegis of Haryana Governance Reforms Authority Haryana[11]

Research

Prof Sharma is amongst the top management researchers in the country as per Omega Journal, which conducted a detailed study on productivity of Indian researchers [12]

He has been conferred the award of global thought leader by the Academy of Global Business Advancement, USA in 2019 [13]

Prof Sharma is widely regarded as turnaround specialist. He has turned around several organisations and institutions. Outlook magazine recognised his work as a turnaround man[14] Prof Sharma continues to be on the board of numerous large corporations, academies, universities, among others
