Career
Maier competed at the 2015 FIS Freestyle Junior World Ski Championships and won a silver medal in the ski cross event.[1][2]
She represented Germany at the 2022 Winter Olympics in the ski cross event and finished in fourth place in the big final. Fanny Smith received a yellow card, and Maier was initially awarded the bronze medal.[3][4] This was later overturned by the Freestyle and Freeski Appeals Commission. It was decided that Meier officially finished in fourth place, because "the close proximity of the racers at that moment resulted in action that was neither intentional or avoidable".[5]
