Clune is an anglicised form of the Irish names of either O Cluanain or McCluin. O Cluanain dervies from the Irish "cluana" meaning either "deceitful", "flattering" or "rogue." McCluin comes from the Irirsh Gaelic "glun" meaning "knee".[1]
