Charles Swainson
Charles Anthony Swainson (1820–1887) was an English theologian, Principal of Chichester Theological College,[1] Norris–Hulse Professor of Divinity, and subsequently Lady Margaret's Professor of Divinity, Master of Christ's College, Cambridge and a canon of Chichester.[2][lower-alpha 1] His published works deal mainly with the Eastern liturgies and the creeds.

Notes
- He should not be confused with the Reverend Charles Swainson MA, Rector of Old Charlton and author of A handbook of weather folk-lore; being a collection of proverbial sayings in various languages relating to the weather (1873) and Provincial names and folk lore of British birds (1885).
