Catherine Malandrino is a French fashion designer. She was born in 1963 in Grenoble, France and resides in both New York City and Paris.

Profile

Catherine Malandrino was born from Italian parents in the French Alps. After her graduation from Esmod, she worked in the Paris couture houses of Dorothée Bis, Louis Féraud, Emanuel Ungaro. In the 1990s, she was the creative force at the French label "Et Vous" in Paris.[1] In 1998, she founded her namesake label in New York.[2]

Malandrino designs two collections: a contemporary line and a runway line, which features shoes and accessories, including jewelry, handbags, and belts.[3]

Operations and Ownership of brand

In August 2013, "Bluestar Alliance, LLC and Tahari ASL bought the Catherine Malandrino brand from Tahari ASL LLC, forming a joint venture led by Bluestar Alliance in partnership with Tahari ASL and Catherine Malandrino".[4]
