Brock Bowers

Brock Allen Bowers (born December 13, 2002)[1] is an American football tight end for the Georgia Bulldogs. Bowers played high school football at Napa High School in Napa, California. In Bowers' freshman year he was named to the First Team All-SEC and was named the SEC Newcomer/Freshman of the Year.

High school career

Bowers attended Napa High School in Napa, California. Bowers was a 4-star recruit and the third ranked tight end recruit in his class. 247 Sports comparison was Denver Broncos tight end, Noah Fant.[2] He committed to the University of Georgia to play college football.[3][4]

College career

2021 Season

Bowers became an immediate starter his true freshman year at Georgia in 2021.[5][6] In his first career game he had six receptions for 43 yards.[7] The following week he would score his first career touchdown against UAB. His first career rushing touchdown came against Vanderbilt on a twelve yard run. He would cap off the season with 11 touchdowns breaking the single season record at Georgia for most touchdowns by a tight end and most yards in a season by a freshman.[8] Bowers recorded 791 yards on 47 receptions and rushed for 55 yards on 3 carries.[9] On December 8, 2021 Bowers was named the SEC Freshman of the Year, and was selected as an All-SEC 1st Team member.[10]
