During his time in office, Wilson has sponsored or co-sponsored bills to ban parking motor vehicles in bike lanes,[4] amend the city's Residential Parking Permit program,[5] grant bereavement leave to nonunion city employees who experience a miscarriage,[6] ban single-use plastic bags,[7] and ban the declawing of cats.[8] He was appointed to the board of the Pittsburgh Land Bank in 2021.[9]
